Raymond Ndlovu
(co-founder and Chief Executive Officer)
Raymond’s financial services career spans more than 20 years and includes experience at firms such as Allan Gray, Metropolitan Asset Managers and Standard Chartered Bank. He holds a number of directorships and serves on various boards and committees including Strate Limited, Greater Good South Arica, The JSE Empowerment Fund, The Institute of Retirement funds of Southern Africa and The SRI Index Advisory Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honors).
Kevin Swart
(co -founder and Managing Director)
Kevin has over 20 years trading experience, including arbitrage, proprietary book, futures and options trading with The Greenwich Group, Rand Merchant Bank, First Derivatives,
Anderson Wilson Stockbrokers and Ed Hern Stock Brokers. Prior to joining Noah he was director in charge of equities and proprietary book trading at Mettle.
Sales Trading
Simon Blakeney (Head of Trading)
Before joining Noah, Simon worked at Merrill Lynch where he covered a number of local long onlys, hedge funds and looked after the majority of the offshore client base. Prior to joining Merrill's, he was Head of Sales Trading at RMB Morgan Stanley and played an integral part in setting up the local joint venture in South Africa.
Simon holds a B Comm (Accounts and Economics) from PMB University and completed his honours in Investment Management at RAU. He is a Chartered ACIS (Associate of Chartered Secretaries) holder, a JSE Registered Securities Trader and holds a SAIFM Equities Market Certificate.
Craig Fell (Sales Trader)
A registered trader with the JSE Securities Exchange, Craig also holds a Junior Trader Certificate with SAFEX. Companies he worked
for before joining Noah include Roydon Roche, Rice Renaldi Turner, Merrill Lynch and Prescient Securities.
Kevin Weller (Sales Trader)
Kevin’s most recent position was with Investec Securities in New York where he serviced their North American institutional client base as a sales trader and with equity research. His role included taking co-responsibility for the running of the US broker-dealer including South African and UK research sales and sales trading, agency and principal/arbitrage equity trading activities, regulatory, legal and compliance functions. Prior to Investec he held the position of Head of Sales trading at Barnard Jacobs Mellet in their Stamford, Connecticut office, a position he held of 5 years. Before leaving SA he worked for Old Mutual Asset Managers as an Equity Trader. Kevin holds a BSc (Hons) and has completed his Registered Persons and General Securities Representatives exams.
Aaron Moyo (Equity Trader)
Aaron's work experience includes positions with ABSA Corporate and Merchant Bank as a non-linear derivatives dealer and Andisa Securities as an equity trader. He holds a B Comm. (Economics) and an Association Cambiste Internationale (ACI) Dealing Certificates and is a member of the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals.
John Seheri (Equity Trader)
After completing his BComm degree, John began his career with Standard Corporate Merchant Bank in 1996 as a Foreign Exchange Trader, trading spot and forward cover for commercial firms, undertaking proprietary trades in exotics for the bank and providing cover for bank branches in spot and forward markets. In 1998 he moved to Macquarie First South Securities on the Institutional Sales Trading side, trading to UK institutions and hedge funds in London as well as execution and proprietary trading predominantly in the mining sector. During this time he played an instrumental role in setting up the South African
sales trading desk in London as well as introducing and signing up of foreign and domestic institutions.
John has completed his Registered Persons Examinations as well as his Financial Services Authority Examinations.
Prinolan Pillay (Head of Research Sales)
Prinolan has worked for Merrill Lynch as an analyst and Louis Dreyfus where he managed an options book and structured over-the-counter options for various corporate clients. He holds a BSC in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and is a member of the Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals.
Tricia Lunenberg (Technical Analyst)
Tricia has more than 20 years experience in the stockbroking industry. She worked for Ivor Jones Roy & Co, before and after it was bought by Deutsche Securities. She has managed portfolios, and is a technical analyst with a Chartered Market Technicians qualification (CMT). She has been rated No2 for the past 6 years in the Technical Analyst category in the Financial Mail's Analyst Rankings.
Candice Elsmore (Research Sales)
After completing her Honours Degree in Finance and B.Comm at the University of Witwatersrand, Candice joined The Royal Bank of Scotland as a middle associate in their equity derivatives department. On her return to South Africa she joined Stern Stewart & Co Management Consultants as a junior analyst where she was responsible for the marketing of the company to potential clients for the purpose of performing EVA analysis and implementation thereafter. Candice joined Noah at the beginning of 2010.
Franita Erasmus (Research Sales)
Franita began her career as a business analyst with Kuberman, a BEE and Corporate Governance Rating Agency in Johannesburg. She has also worked at Nedgroup Investments as an investment consultant. She holds a Masters Degree in Financial Economics and a B Comm. in Econometrical Analysis. She has also completed Level 2 of the Chartered Financial Analysts examinations.
Lea Solomon (Research Assistant)
Lea’s extensive experience in administration and as a Personal Assistant includes her most recent position as Personal Assistant to the Brand and Business Directors of Vega, The Brand Communications School. In addition, Lea filled the role of Assistant to the Marketing Manager. In addition to her administrative duties, Lea was responsible for the organisation of all on-campus events. Lea joined Noah in June 2010 as assistant to the research team. Her key responsibilities are the organisation of road shows, preparation of research presentations and travel pans.
Chester Bakkerus (Chief Financial Officer)
After completing his BCompt degree, Chester worked as an articled clerk at Cohen & Gmeiner, where he was extensively involved in special projects in various government departments. These assignments included both substantive and compliance audits, which became his field of speciality. He then moved to Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank, initially in the role of Risk and Audit Manager to the Financial Services Operations Division and then as the Senior Manager of Custodial Services. He was appointed a Director of Standard Bank Nominees and ran the largest securities vault in Southern Africa. He then joined the Fisher Hoffman Group where he focussed extensively on business analysis, financial modelling and consulting on the design and implementation of risk reducing control environments. His recent positions have included Financial Director to an online trading gateway designed specifically for the event and conference industry and director of a private equity investment company.
His area of expertise is the establishment of financial structures and internal controls. Chester is responsible for the entire financial, settlements, IT and HR functions of Noah.
Taryn Coetzee (Settlement Administrator)
Taryn has over 12 years experience in the industry. She began her career with Nedcor, then moved to London where she worked with West Merchant Bank, Credit Suisse, First Boston and Deutsche Bank AG, where she was a supervisor for equities and fixed income back office and settlements. Taryn has completed her Settlements Officers Exam.
Ineshnee Govindasami (Executive Assistant to the CEO)
Ineshnee has a National Certificate in Executive Secretarial and Computer Studies. Her experience is primarily in the financial services industry with her last position being Personal Assistant to the MD of Intel Capital in London.
Harry Chauke (Front Office Manager)
Harry began his career at Mettle where he held the position as Head of Security. He completed a computer typing course and assisted with various administration duties. Harry was then offered a mentorship position in the IT Department at Mettle, and thereafter moved to Noah. Harry was then appointed as the Front Office Manager of Noah, and is responsible for the reception duties. He has recently completed an Office Administration Diploma.
Thandi Dladla (Office Support)
Thandi provides office support to various members of the Noah team.
Julie Kotton (Head of Marketing and Client Liaison)
Julie has over 19 years marketing experience at both operational and managerial level gained in the luxury goods market and the financial services industry. She is responsible for the entire brand and marketing management function at Noah as well as all client communication and liaison.
Nakita Oosthuizen (Marketing Assistant)
Nakita completed her Diploma in Conference, Exhibition and Events Management at the end of 2009. She joined Noah in February 2010 as a Marketing Assistant where she assists with all aspects of the Noah marketing function. Nakita is currently studying a BComm Marketing degree through UNISA.
Quintin Siebert (IT Manager)
Quintin has over 13 years of experience in all phases of server and desktop administration including extensive telephonic support, expertise in analysing and solution providing, designing and implementing new solutions, as well as over 4 years of management experience. His most recent position was IT Manager for Merrill Lynch.
